The waterfall adventure and sleep overs.

A couple days ago we went to a really massive waterfall and me and my friend Jayia got to swim underneath it, man was it powerful and windy!

IMG_20150520_124331702_HDR

When we went behind the waterfall we got sucked in and pushed to the back of the cave. A guy lent us some rubber tyres so we didn’t drown and pulled us around so we didn’t have to swim so much. Jayia accidently popped the tyre she was on, so we secretly tried to hide it from the guy so he didn’t know. But he did find out.
IMG_20150520_124042650_HDR

The water falling was so strong it made huge waves, it was like we were in the middle of a huge stormy sea.

IMG_20150520_124300338_HDR
After that, we had lunch and a guy lost his jandle down the river at the same time. When we got back up to the top of the massive stair case Jayia the girl that I met a week ago asked if I wanted to have a sleep over and I said yes and we had a great time together.

WHAT WE DID AT JAYIA’S HOUSE.

1. We got there and made some loom bands.

2. We had a dance party until it was 11:00pm

3. We went to bed.

4. I woke up at 5 and tried to find the kitten.

5. I found the kitten but it was locked in another room of their house.

6. Jayia woke up and we went for a walk into the rice paddies and after that we came home and had breakfast.

7. One of Jayia’s friends came over and we all played all day.

8. We went to a singing circle thing, where the adults sung and we played in the pool.

9. We left and went back to her house.

10. Then we went into town to meet up with mum for dinner. It was great.

11. Then we mum went home.

BON VOYAGE BYE BYE.

Things we did over the weekend

On the weekend we walked along this little temple path (above) it went along thru tall grasses along a ridge and down through jungle by the river.

IMG_20150517_112903279_HDR

That was after we went to Clear cafe to fuel up on our favourite choco matrix drink.

Later that night we went to the movies and saw Inter stellar and after the movie mum couldn’t drive the motor bike home because she was so tripped out with the galacticness of it. But we did managed to get home safely.

IMG_20150516_091222192

On Saturday I did a Vipassanna kids meditation course with my new friend Jaiya. I learnt how to do Apana style meditation, it was alot of sitting still and concerntrating on the hairs below your nose as your breathe in and out. It got boring by the end of the day. That was the day that I got a an ear ache too. I still have it today which sucks because it hurts when I try to sleep. But I’ve been taking homeopathics from mums travelling kit, so its going away.

IMG_20150517_143927536

The other day I went swimming at dolphin house and found this guy on the edge of the pool and look at his EYES!!!! Pretty cool aye. Millions of dragon flies come out every afternoon over the rice paddies, they eat the mozzies and then birds sweep down and eat them.

On Sunday mum and I had a sleep over at our friend Jayia’s place. They had the craziest kitten in the world there. It was pretty funny because it would purr for 2 seconds when you patted it and then it would go mad on your arm and rip it to shreads. ( lucky I had gloves on.:D). I played with the crazy kitten alot of the time I was there.

IMG_20150518_130727014_HDR

Then yesterday we went to visit our new friends, Annie and Lilliana that we met at Bali Buddha. We hung out and played at their house for the afternoon. Mostly we mucked around in the pool. Lilliana goes to the Green School which sounds pretty cool. I nearly forgot to skype Hari my best friend in NZ, but luckily mum remebered and we had a cool chat while we were there….

I have heaps of best friends Including Benji, Cody, Lucien, Orongo, Albert, Hari, other Lucien, Jimmy Sol 😀 and a lot of other people I met on this trip already and others in NZ. But lately I’ve been missing my friends back home and I’m up for skyping with you all.

IMG_20150517_145536

This is what I look like when mum says I have to do my blog and other homework stuff.

Yesterday afternoon I met this awesome guy from Australia who had a cool old fashioned helmet with goggles. We hung out for a while and shared dinner with him at this Warung 9 restaurant. How it worked was really different because everyone served themselves (like buffet style) then you added up the cost of your meal and at the end you just left the amount in a jar on the table. It was all about trust.

BON VOYAGE

My day at Zions.

We moved places and it was pretty hard when we had to move all the bags because they were all really heavy and made the motor bike wobbley. After that, we went to Zions place and at first we got annoyed at each other and then we invented the bear hug and that made it all alot easier. We moved from dolphin house to a big tower house down the road and it has a pool too so I’m happy.

Today I’m having a hard blog time because the “computer” is doing really weird things and it’s so annoying.

Any way I was telling you about Zion and stuff.

WHAT ZION AND I DID IN THE DAY THERE.

1. Got there on mums motorbike.  (with mum)

2. Watched a movie. (Ice age 4)

3. Went swimming with him and his other friend.

4. Got annoyed at each other.    (Like never wanted to see each other again.)

5. Called my mum to come by and pick me up in a few hours.

6. Got UNannoyed at each other. ( invented the bear hug)

7. Mum came to pick me up.      (We asked if we could have a sleep over that night.)

8. Mum said no you can have a sleep over on Saturday.

9. We hid from mum and then we went home and said good bye.

Had dinner at Clear cafe and I had a choco matrix and mum filmed me doing this.

Sorry we had to split the film in half to upload it.

And that was my day at Zions. Now if you would exuse me I’m going to jump in our new pool.

BON VOYAGE.

THE END ✌

The TOROFLUX!!!!!!

Yesterday we went on an adventure on the motorbike up around the back roads of Ubud. It was really cool because there’s so many temples everywhere you look. At the entrance way to each temple there happens to be a dog at nearly all of them, lying down sleeping. Its a crack up! For lunch we went on a mission into the rice paddies to find this organic restaurant, and I ate the best giant spring rolls in my life.

We parked our scoopy motorbike and walked most of the way up these little pathways. This is what we saw…..lots of rice, at all different heights and more rice! There were flocks of ducks munching in the mud where the rice had been cut down too.

IMG_20150514_152839

IMG_20150513_144852853

I never knew what rice plants looked like, here’s a photo when the plants fully grown. After it’s grown they harvest it and when its dry a guy beats the bunches against the ground and all the grains fall out onto a tarp. It must take heaps of plants to make one sack of rice, and a lot of time.

IMG_20150513_144759590_HDR
We also checked out the gardens, (this is a rice paddy look out tower) we saw that they keep cows in pens (which I thought was pretty mean) but at least they feed them well, then they can collect their poo and make lots of compost from it.

After that we went home and played in the pool for a while then we went into town again for dinner.

We were walking around in town and we found this cool shop with this thing called the TOROFLUX in it.

IMG_20150513_224158396

It’s awesome you can use it for decoration, entertainment and fun. You can pass it to your friends, you can throw it and basicly it just flows on you. I really wanted one, and mum surprised me and bought one without me knowing. Then when we got to the place for dinner she gave it to me. Wow! Its so awesome. I played with it all night, and thought about busking and making a little show with it. I met this other girl named Jaia, we had fun playing around with it and then got onto the hula hoops and started playing drums and other crazy instruments at this place. It was pretty fun. I’m going to make a movie and see if I can put it on here.

Bali times

Yesterday we went to the fruit market and did some shopping and we bought mangosteens, passion fruit, tomatoes and insence. The markets were pretty smelly with dried fish and other things, but luckily there was nice insence as well. The incense I’m going to use for the shrine at the yoga barn in the bush, that Zion and I found.

( this is going to be a short blog because I’m trying to do it before mum wakes up so yeah. )

We went for a swim in the pool with out the mermaid tail but hey it was still refreshing and we might get a mermaid tail when we go to the states.( U.S.A )

When we came home I cooked some eggs and I had some frostys, It was tasty.:D☺:):D.

But most of the day we were siting at home and trying to get my blog to work, and I did do my maths dad were ever you are right now.

BON VOYAGE BYE BYE??!!!!!!!!

:):):):):):):):):):):):)THE END ✌

Lukoia Coffey over and out.

I think I should carry on because my mum is still asleep, and she’ll be really happy to wake up and know that I’ve completed my homework (this blog and my maths) already. But I really can’t think of any thing else to write so I’ll have to say good bye again.

Oh, yeah yesterday I walked around the place that were staying and made a movie of all the different shrines and statues here (there’s so many of them) Theres Shiva and Shakti, Ganesha, Buddha, Arjuna and many other Balinese ones that I don’t know the names of yet. In Bali the religion is Hindu so there are alot of deities that they honour.

BON VOYAGE BYE BYE! !!!!!!!!

THE END ✌

Lukoia Coffey over and out.

Bye bye for good now see you in my next blog.

We’re in Bali at last!!!!

We’ve all left the central city of Bangkok and mum and I are in now Bali, Dad and Helen are walking the Himalayan foot hills to Cashmere and Tom is back in Germany safe and sound.

We got on the plane and since we would of been squished in a seat we sat in a seat 2 rows back from number 17 ( our seats. ) We had some pretty big turbulence on the way up but when we leveled off it became smoother and I felt better. We got two whole rows to lye down in and it was really comfortable.

When we landed we got picked up by one of mums friends and drivin up to Ubud, on the way we saw heaps of greenery and big huge statues with fountains in them, they’re  really impressive.

When we got to Dolphin house we walked down an alley way and DADAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! My dream house. The reason why is because the house is made completely out of bamboo and more bamboo, all the furniture is made out of bamboo too including the bed.:D:D:D

IMG_20150510_091044671_HDR

In the morning we rolled up the bamboo blinds which are the walls!!! and thats the best part of this house, then we had a swim in the beautiful big pool outside (and it was actually cold, instead of warm like in Thailand) there was a mermaid tail thing, so me and mum had a turn at putting it on. It keeps your legs and your feet together and makes swimming feel really fun. It was actually so cool that I want one, and I hear that they’re  from America so maybe when I get there I’ll try to find one.

IMG_20150510_091111695

IMG_20150510_091250372

The top photo is the view from our bed when we roll up the walls and below is looking over the pool wall into the rice paddies. Nice aye.

IMG_20150510_092330107_HDR

Our pool and mum being a mermaid, and I hope you can see the movie of me in action.

After that we went to the yoga barn and played around until I met this boy named Zion who is also from NZ (small world) and we played while our parents danced in the yoga barn which is a place were heaps of people come and do crazy dance moves to the beats. Its really funny to watch. And it was mothers day as well and they made this, so I took a photo of it as a gift for my mum.

IMG_20150510_124922823_HDR

And now I’m back at home doing my blog which is actually pretty fun because I’m going to try to post a whole lot of the latest photos. After that I’m going to say goodnight, see you next time.

THE END

Lukoia Coffey over and out.

We are all leaving Bangkok. YAAAAY

Tomorrow Tom is flying to Germany and Dad and Helen are flying to India but mum and I are staying here in annoying Bangkok city.

IMG_20150507_183809570

This is a little fountain statue thing that has lots of tiny fish in it. Theyre all nibbling on my fingers, its quite a tickly feeling. Did you know that they have fish spas here? They’re these big glass baths with hundreds of finger sized fish in them.

IMG_20150508_194405778

Tourists sit on the edge and soak their feet for 15 minutes and the fish eat off all the dead skin and funky bits. Gross! Ladies normally scream, its pretty funny to watch. But your feet look really clean afterwards.

I’m so bored right now doing my blog but I’ll have to get used to it because I have to do it for the next 7 months.
I’m siting on the 4th floor of our hotel and all I’m going to say in this blog is…..blaaah Bangkok!

Ok, here’s something different. HOW DID THE SQUIRREL CROSS THE ROAD?   Along the power lines.

We were walking around the night market last night and we saw fried scorpions and wolf spiders, as well as crickets and cockroaches YUK!

IMG_20150509_085926

It looked like they were still alive but they weren’t. I wonder if any tourists actually eat them? Or if its just a trick that the locals play on farangs for fun?

Scorpion photos to come.:o

Another sweaty day in Bangkok.

6adeb1df0e861297f7df7e8e0379b469This morning we got up and had breakfast and then we went to a park down the road to play the ball game I mentioned in my last blog. We saw this policeman statue along the way. They have some really strange things here.

When we got there we took our shirts off and sweated like a leaking bottle until we were to tired of playing and then a park ranger came along and said you have to put your shirt on. We put our shirts back on and then we went down to the river and OMG!!!! It is so polluted. We saw a big barge go past and it was getting pulled by a tug boat 1/4 of a 1/4 of the size of it.

We saw a Thai lady come down to the river with a water snake in a bag with water and another bag with heaps of little fish in it. She did a prayer offering and then tipped them in. We then saw 2 guys come along on a boat and one guy jumped off to dive down to the bottom of the river and collect mud crabs, he stayed down there for at least half an hour and then we figured out that he had a hose going down for him to breath through. I thought it was pretty cool. But I wondered how he could see what he was doing down there along the bottom of that murky river. After that, we went home to cool off and have some chill out time before lunch.

We had lunch at an Israeli restaurant for a change and I had a chicken pita pocket which is kind of like a mini pizza and a lychee and mint shake. It was so good, and then we checked out some stalls on the way home along Khoa San Road and then came back to our place and relaxed (mum and Tom relaxed I did my blog. So unfair!)

Koha San shopping

MY WISH LIST FOR AFTER BLOG.;)&#

1. Get ice cream from across the road.

2. Watch movies.

3. Eat ice cream. Which tropical fruit flavor should I choose?

Fruitstall

4. Eat popcorn. I think that’ll be hard here.

5. RELAX .

6. Anoy mum.

7. Bounce off the walls in our room.

8. Do more cool stuff with Tom and mum.

9. Play some games.

10. Anoy mum again.

Bangkok has been so much fun but that was my day so far bye.

BON VOYAGE Bangkok.

New games and new things (in Bangkok)

A couple days ago we arrived back in Bangkok. This is a city that never sleeps, except for the drunk people that you see lying in alley ways sometimes in the mornings. Its very very trafficy (thats a new word) and its full of smells like bad sewage but also yummy meat sticks that they cook in the street stalls. There’s loads of colourful market stalls everywhere too which make it really busy and touristy. Its hot and humid all the time as well which makes you really sticky and sweat runs down your back. Its just great!

Yesterday at sunset we went to this really nice park with a big temple and an old fort with big black cannons in it. (that’s it in the photo above) There were lots of people relaxing and sitting around enjoying the grass and trees. There’s not that many trees and parks around here either because everything’s walls and streets and buildings in this huge city. Anyway Tom brought out this little woven ball that’s made of rattan which is kind of like bamboo. He brought it for mum so we started playing with it. The Thai people here play this game called Sepak takraw with it where they kick the ball over a net and try to keep it in the air for as long as they can. They have teams with 3 on each side.

ball

takrow-sport-lombok-jumpTom made his own throwy thing, its modelled off an Indiaca which is a similar game they play in Brazil but with a different kind of toy. Mum tried to paste a picture on here so you all could see what they look like, but its not working sorry. Anyway Tom has to fix the one he made, so that’s what we’ll be working on in the next few days.

We also played hacky sack as well and for those of you who don’t know what a hacky sack is, it’s a woven ball with beans in it that you kick around. We played until sunset and then mum started taking photos and me and Tom played tag and OMG he might be short but he’s so fast! After a while Tom and I were getting bitten by mozzies so we went home to our musty hotel and had spaghetti bolognaase for dinner on the way, it was massive! I couldn’t eat it all.

BON VOYAGE, see you latter.
